ATC offers customized, community specific training in creative communication, youth engagement and leadership, intercultural dialogue and empathic non-violent communication methods.

Customized workshops equip participants with the skills to better manage negative conflict with or between others. Participants creatively explore conflicts through social, cultural and community-based concepts, encouraging transformation through strategic arts-based methods including role play, improvisation, writing and other culturally-appropriate artistic expressions.

Conflict is inevitable. Strategic arts-based methods can provide people with the opportunity to discover and use different lenses to view conflict issues. Finding similarities where they only saw differences, empowerment where they only found fear, dialogue instead of violence.

The “Youth Empowerment Project” brings together groups of young people, giving them a place to think, discover and dialogue. Leadership is fostered and encouraged by learning both from each other and from professionals acting in an advisory role.
